Champagne, cupcakes and lots of vintage goodness

unchained_vintage_hart

On Thursday night we teamed up with Qype and Vintagehart to do our first Unchained event. And what a lovely evening it was.

It took place in a lovely pub in Crystal Palace where the champagne and beer were flowing, cupcakes were just begging to be eaten (thanks Sarah!) and the DJ was spinning the latest 1920s jazz on wind up gramophones. Annette and Dawn from Vintagehart actually have their shop inside the pub. It isn’t a big shop – but they’re more about quality than quantity. And they spent the evening showing the ladies how to find good vintage pieces and how to add them to their wardrobe.

As an ignorant man with chronic fashion-dyslexia, you’d probably be unwise to trust my opinion. So let me point you in the direction of some more knowledgeable commentators who were there on the night.

And you can see some photos of the night on the Unchained Flickr page and also here. We also got a mention on the lovely Mousehunter’s blog.

This was just the first of many Unchained events. I’ll keep you posted when we’re doing more so that you can hopefully come along and join us next time.
