The Unchained Social Media experiments

It’s all been a bit quiet on the blog-front for the past week or so. In fact, I’ve been struggling to find the time to blog for weeks now! You see, Lea and I are experimenting with pushing Unchained into a number of social media channels.

Lea started a Twitter experiment last week to see if she could effect our stats by tweeting. And so far she’s succeeded. You can read more about what she’s up to on her blog. And you can follow here tweets right here. She’s documenting her strategies and she’s going to release them on her blog at some point in the future to show what has worked for her and what hasn’t.

I’ve been busy on the photo front. We take lots of shots when we’re out and about visiting the shops so we decided to share them. I’ve been getting involved in groups that are focused on shopping or London. And I’ve been plotting the shots on a map as well so that you’ll be able to take a virtual tour of London’s shopping areas. It’s going to take time to build it into something really amazing – but you can see the start of it here.

We’re also starting to look at the whole StumbleUpon/Digg/Reddit/ thing. And – to be honest – haven’t got very far. But we’ll let you know what happens with those as/if it happens.

The whole thing is quite a minefield. There is so much netiquette to consider – but it’s important for us to engage with people, get involved in communities and take part in conversations. And the one thing that we’re finding is that it takes a lot of effort!

This is all pretty new to us and we’re learning a lot. But we’re going to share it with you. You’ll find the results or our digital explorations right here on this blog and on Lea’s Feeling the Fear blog.
