Hey Steve Jobs, I don’t fancy being in your shoes just now

It’s not a very good time for Apple just now.

First of all, the music industry are currently trying to set new royalty rates for digital music in the US – and there is a chance that the iTunes store may not survive in the States. Which surely must be their biggest market.

And then Nokia unleash their new music phone that allows users to download as much music as they want for a whole year – and then keep all the tracks without DRM jiggery-pokery.

And then there’s all the iPhone plagiarists edging in as well – the Google G1, the Sony Ericsson X1, the Samsung Omnia and the just-announced Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

Will brand loyalty see Apple through? Even I’m interested in looking at the other options – and I’m well known for being a Mac fanboy. Hmmmmm. What do you think?

Hey, the xperia x1 by Sony Ericcson is not a knock off, its a better phone. Sony may be dragging their feet, but at least they are not releasing a version full of bugs that warrants refunds. If Apple would slow down and focus they would be a little better off. It’s Jobbs fault for literally trying to take too big of a bite out of the apple market.
