This year’s Superballs

So it was the Superbowl or something at the weekend. Which meant this year’s big glut of costly American TV ads. And this year, along with some good ones, are a few that truly are a load of balls.

Here’s a charmless hard-sell clichéd Cadillac ad. It truly sucks:

And here’s a Stop The Pigeon-style piece of even-harder-sell crap for Sales Genie:

Here’s an epic slice of pompous tosh for some hip brand of trainers:

And here’s an eTrade ad that I really quite liked:

You can see all of the ads here, if you’re interested. The combined cost of which could eradicate debt in many third world countries and leave enough change to buy everyone in China an iPod.
